YOUR JUDGES ARE:

:icongooseworx::icons0s2::iconvivzmind::iconcircustent::iconfunnylogic:

General Rules

-Tag teams are very allowed. You can be a team of two artists, or a team of a writer and an artist. Anything that gets a nice entry out of you.

-Be respectful! C'mon guys, this is supposed to be fun. Respect your opponents, the judges, and everyone else

-Be civil. Harassment will result in immediate disqualification.

Character Rules

-Your character can be any species, race, or whatever sentient being you can come up with. Robots, anthros, humans, wizards, goblins, gooblins, ghrosts, toasts, floobldabbies, anthropomorphic puddles of milk, etc. Just remember, you're going to be trying to tell a compelling story with these characters.

-You are allowed to have a team of up to two characters. This can be two fighters, a fighter and a partner, a dumb guy and a voice of reason, whatever your wild little brains can conjure. Single characters are also allowed if you want to take it that way.

-No fan characters! If it belongs to an existing franchise, it'll be turned down. Unless it's a franchise you created.

-No godmods, mary-sues, or any of that other garbage. Keep your character within reasonable limits. Don't overpower them and ruin everything. Make it interesting and enjoyable.

Reference Sheets

-Must be in full color

-Must include full-body front and back views

-Be sure to include references for any weapons, items, lockets, trinkets, bottles of father's ashes, etc.

-Try to include general info on your character's personality, likes, dislikes, age, weight, weaknesses, abilities, etc. Whatever you want people to know about your character.

-If you have two characters, you can put them both on one sheet or give them each separate sheets. S'all up to you, brah.

-Make sure your info is legible. Try to avoid large paragraphs of white text on a black background. That stuff hurts my eyes, yo! You can organize your info in the description(artist's comments) if that suits you better.

Audition Rules

-With a comic/flash comic/animation, show us who your character is, and how they're brought into the library. How and why is totally up to you. This is your chance to get us interested in your character(s).

-We accept comics, flash comics, and animations (no literature, unfortunately)

-Send your audition and character reference to the group in a note

Round Rules

-With a comic/flash comic/animation, your character must "fight" with your opponent's character, having your character come out as the "victor." This is all very loose, and your "fights" can range from disagreements, to giant, explosion-inducing battles. Same with victories. Those can range from "defeating" your opponent's characters, to making up with them, to escaping from them.

-Please ask for your opponent's permission if you do plan on killing their character. Let's keep this civil and drama-free.

-You are free to discuss things with your opponent if you need extra pointers on their characters.

-We accept comics, flash comics, and animations (no literature, unfortunately)

-Submit your rounds to the group either via note, or through normal group submission(members only)

Other

-RESPECT RESPECT RESPECT! Please show respect! Don't make this not fun for everyone else.

-We're judging on creativity, storytelling, clarity, and composition. Try to compel us into wanting to know more about your character(s). Tell a story that's unique and extends beyond "OCs fighting each other." Go ahead and show us how creative you can be.

-Defeating an opponent does not need to result in the death of the opponent's character. It's typically advised you keep them alive unless you have everything planned out with the other artist.

-Feel free to put as much of your own creative input as you can into the history of the library and the backstories of the NPCs. Anything that can help you tell a more compelling story.

-We're only accepting auditions and refs to the gallery once they're both completed.

-Submissions to the "Related Art" folder will only be accepted if they visually involve the library itself in some way, visually involve any of the NPCs, or visually involve any other potential contestants. So just drawing pictures of your own character doing whatever in their own world probably won't make it in the folder.

If only I could draw comics quickly and if I finally took the step to take my characters out of a fandom and into their own. *sigh* I really got to do that. I hate missing out on awesome stuff like this. <=\
